CONTRACT OF USE

Terms, conditions and disclosure

These terms govern use of lawbox.systems / lawbox-systems.netlify.app and the free SAR/FOI templates. Last updated 9 September 2026. English law, courts of England and Wales.

1. Who we are

LAWBOX LTD is a private company. Public signature: RicoGPT5101. We are not a law firm, not SRA-authorised, not the police, CPS, ICO, CIA or FBI. Nothing on this site is legal advice.

2. The free templates

The SAR/FOI builder is a drafting aid. You send the request. You attach ID to the public body, not to us. Addresses and emails are published starting-points and can change — you must check the authority’s own site before sending.

3. Your promises

You will only request your own data (SAR) or recorded information you are entitled to seek (FOI). You will not use the desk to harass, impersonate, threaten, defame, or obtain another person’s data without authority. You are responsible for the wording you send.

4. Data protection

How we handle personal data is in the controller notice. Do not upload identity documents to this site.

5. Civil liability

The templates and logs are provided free, as-is. As far as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other mandatory law allow, LAWBOX LTD is not liable for delayed replies by public bodies, refused requests, missed deadlines you did not diary, or decisions you take on the back of a template. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

6. Criminal law — honest limit

No website term can cancel criminal law. If you commit an offence (for example impersonating an officer, malicious communications, or unlawfully obtaining personal data) that is your criminal liability. These terms do not authorise unlawful acts and do not make LAWBOX a party to them. Likewise we cannot contract out of criminal liability for an offence we ourselves commit.

7. Indemnity

If your misuse of the desk causes LAWBOX LTD a loss (including a complaint or claim that arises from content you wrote), you will indemnify the company for that loss, except to the extent caused by our own fraud or negligence.

8. Agent programme

A handle is not a warrant card. You are 18+. You will not impersonate police, solicitors, prosecutors or enforcement agents. You will not publish that a named living person committed a crime unless an official public finding already names them. You will not give your private life or LAWBOX case data to a third party. A handle can be withdrawn.

9. Data you type — who carries it

You only submit your own information or information you are lawfully allowed to send. You will not upload passports, driving licences, bills, or other people’s files to LAWBOX. If you do that anyway, you are responsible for that unlawful or excessive disclosure. LAWBOX LTD processes form fields as controller under the notice on data.html. We limit what we invite onto the desk so we are not holding identity documents. That does not make us liable for content you chose to paste. Mandatory law still applies: we do not exclude fraud, or death/personal injury caused by our negligence.

10. Dave and TAGDesk

Dave is an on-screen operator you brief. TAGDesk means Task and Guidance Desk. Neither is a court, a force, or reserved legal work. You stay in control of what is sent in your name.

Questions: use Desk 101. Acceptance is the single tick on the SAR form and the agent form.
